Our Story, Our Philosophy
CleanScape, Inc. was established in 1999 by the South Providence Development Corporation in South Providence, Rhode Island—the heart of the City’s federally designated Enterprise Zone. We are part of a larger effort to develop environmentally-motivated businesses as a means of community development.
Development of the company was motivated by the desire to create employment opportunities for the residents of the South Providence community. We have grown from a small concern to a thriving entity with over 30 employees. Most of our staff comes from our neighborhood and embodies our commitment to making a positive contribution to the quality of life in South Providence.
The work we do includes cleaning and maintaining neglected lots in our state. Other associated projects include the design, construction, and maintenance of environmentally friendly landscapes for municipalities, private businesses and individual land or homeowners.
